Osa Peninsula Jungle and Pacific Beaches

Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica!
Meet our local representative as you step out of the airport for a transfer to the Hotel Bougainvillea. Located in the suburb of Santo Domingo, twenty minutes ride from the international airport. The three-story hotel is set in spacious gardens with paths winding through tropical flowers and garden benches. The accommodating large rooms offer two queen size beds televisions and balconies. Other amenities include a swimming pool, tennis court, and restaurant.

Day 2-3-4: The Wild Peninsula de Osa
The Osa Peninsula is situated in the southernmost part of Costa Rica, where the famous Corcovado National Park is

located. Your ecolodges is nestled in the rainforest above the southern Pacific Ocean where encountering rare wildlife, birdwatching, relaxing and really getting in tune with nature are your only concerns. Luna Lodge was built with conservation of the rainforest in mind. Within the 150 acres of the property, 75 acres is virgin rainforest. Hundreds of bird species including the magnificent scarlet macaw, monkeys, sloths and other wildlife can be easily found. The lodge is committed to educating its visitors about the surrounding pristine environment and local culture.
All meals are included at Luna Lodge in their restaurant in El Eclipse Total, featuring homemade breads,
organic fruits and vegetables and natural juices. Everything at the lodge is prepared fresh every day.
A hike in the Corcovado National Park is included during your stay. Corcovado is 41,788 hectares encompassing eight habitats from mangrove swamp to montane forest. The park protects over 400 species of birds, 116 species of amphibians and reptiles and 139 mammal species. Corcovado is one of the only two places in the country that harbor squirrel monkeys. It is one of the last stands for the huge harpy eagle. Four species of sea turtles nest on the park's beaches and the park supports a healthy population of big cats and crocodiles.

Days 5-6-7: Beach time on the Pacific beaches of Nosara
A flight from Puerto Jimenez takes you up to the dry tropical forest north on the Nicoya Peninsula. Set in the sleepy
coastal town of Nosara, 25 miles from the nearest paved road, high standards of sustainable living meet the creature comforts of the low key beach life at the Harmony Hotel. All rooms including feature mini-refrigerator, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and WiFi Access. Activities available are kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, hiking, yoga (one lesson is included), swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing on the beach. The water, like the air, is an inviting 80-ish degrees all year round. Monkeys, ospreys and armadillos thrive in the rich protected green zone that buffers Playa Guiones from anything manmade.
This is definitely a place that offers people the opportunity to get in tune with their own natural rhythm. In an effort to operate under sustainability practices,

Day 8: Departure
As you take your flight back to the outskirts of San Jose, take one more look at the horizon of the Pacific Ocean. Its blue waters will remain in your mind for days or maybe months or until your next visit. Arrive 2 hours before your international flight departs.
